Weekend Wanderings #8: (㇏(🔴^🔴)ノ) Mothman

Hi! Happy Friday from Forest Heights in beautiful Athens, Georgia. 🍁🍂🦌

A couple weeks ago we drove up to West Virginia during a stormy (NOT Helene stormy) weekend to indulge in the Mothmania of Point Pleasant. You’ve gotta love that an entire town has embraced its most famous resident - a winged, bipedal, freakishly ripped cryptid. Here’s my guide to exploring Mothman’s hometown.

On the way home, we got to visit New River Gorge National Park the ghost town of Thurmond, mooostly abandoned by 1960. It is so beautiful! Has anyone camped here?
