Weekend Wanderings #24: European Triple Cap

Hi! Happy Friday from Forest Heights in beautiful Athens, Georgia.💚🦌

Thanks to Europe’s efficient train system, we were able to see three capital cities on one trip: Budapest, Vienna, and Bratislava. This was another instance where we let the flight deal dictate where we went ($307 roundtrip to Budapest 🙌), and we had the best time visiting medieval thermal baths, catacombs, cafes, and sewer men.

A somewhat privileged opinion on visiting countries with oppressive leadership: No one should overlook a country’s anti-LGBTQ laws, or racial/religious profiling. However, I don't think it's fair to fully write off a place based on its politics (lol, ask me how I know living in Georgia…). The world is complex and, in my experience, people are waaay cooler and more open-minded than their government.
